According to BBC reporting, Lloyds Banking Group restored the digital channels of its three brands after a technical fault that began in the morning and lasted around four hours. Customers reported problems with online logins, payments and account-balance queries.

A group spokesperson told BBC the fault was infrastructure-related and that customer data was not affected. According to outage tracker DownDetector, reports peaked at around 25,000 near 09:00 local time.

The UK Financial Conduct Authority asked the banks for a report on the disruption. Forrester analyst Aurélie L'Hostis told BBC that such outages test customer trust and that major banks continue infrastructure-modernisation investment. This article is not investment advice.
